Pulmac's Zero-Span
Zero-Span 1000 | Zero-Span 2000 | Zero-Span 3000Zero-Span 1000
Pulmac Inc's Zero-Span 1000 provides the simplest way to generate data on the fibre strength, length, and bonding potential of production pulp as well as paper at the reel.
Individual measurements are taken which can then be compiled into a database and analyzed.
A pre-set span adjustment attachment is a standard feature permitting tests at a range of short spans in addition to zero-span.
Zero-Span 1000 Benefits
Pulmac Inc's Zero-Span 1000 Solution brings certainty to pulp strength measurement.
With this certainty comes predictability of a pulp's papermaking potential and a finished paper's quality. When part of a systematic sampling and testing program, the fibre quality numbers generated with the Zero-Span 1000 can help identify the process variables that impact fibre strength. The direct benefits to productivity can include reducing downgraded pulp, penalty payments, and warehousing costs, all the while improving communication links with pulp users -

Zero-Span 2000
Pulmac Inc's Zero-Span 2000 offers an automized zero and short span testing capability. Once the sample handsheets or strip is loaded onto the feed tray, 24 wet/dry, zero/short span tests are executed during a five minute testing sequence.
Following termination of the testing sequence, test results automatically update a local and network database. The Zero-Span database can be selectively recalled for printing, on-screen display, or export to a database or spreadsheet program.
The Zero-Span 2000 is calibrated and control software is loaded as part of in-factory system integration.
Zero-Span 2000 Benefits
"Fast, repeatable testing of pulp strength"
Pulmac Inc's Zero-Span 2000 can effectively define pulp strength. With systematic sampling and testing, fibre quality numbers generated by the Zero-Span 2000 will alert mill monitors to creeping process changes before pulp quality deteriorates beyond acceptable limits. Automized zerospan testing will tell you what you need to know, when you need to know it in order to keep your production running smoothly and your customers happy.
Direct improvements to your productivity can include reducing downgraded pulp, penalty payments, and warehousing costs, all the while improving communication links with pulp users.

Zero-Span 3000
Fast Determination of Pulp Strength
With Pulmac Inc's Zero- Span 3000 solution, testers can determine the strength of over 100 pulp samples in a 24 hour period.
Once a slurry of measured consistency has been prepared, a shift tester can process subsequent samples every 10 minutes.
Pulmac Inc's Zero-Span 3000 offers a complete zero-span solution in one compact and highly automated system. A pulp or stock sample is first prepared at the Zero-Span 3000 wet sample prep station. The prepared slurry is then poured into the sheet former and 5 minutes later, 6 sample sheets are automatically delivered, ready to be weighed and loaded onto the tester feed tray. Once the hands-off test sequence is initiated, the customconfigured database will be automatically updated within 5 minutes with Pulmac fibre quality numbers sensitive to changes in fiber strength, bonding, length and/or alignment.
